Grants for Polish citizens under Fulbright Scholarship Program
Dear Academic Staff and Students! Currently, recruitment for 6 programs of the Polish-American Fulbright Scholarship Program is ongoing. Nevertheless, the programs that best fit the profile of students and employees of our university are: Fulbright Graduate Student Award 2025-26; Fulbright STEM Impact Award 2024-25 and Fulbright Senior Award 2025-26 and we strongly encourage you to get familiar with the rules pertaining to each scholarship program.
Webinar for Polish youth interested in Anders NAWA scholarship
On Thursday, April 25, 2024, an online meeting will be held for young people of Polish descent interested in the Anders NAWA program for second-cycle studies in Poland. Persons who hold the Polish Card or have Polish citizenship and citizenship of another country may apply for participation in the program and who have been engaged throughout the period of secondary school education outside Poland.
We would like to inform you that our application for additional Erasmus+ funds under the 2022 agreement has been accepted, and the University will receive funding for the implementation of 22 additional staff mobilities for a total amount of EUR 29,075! Due to the above, we are announcing the recruitment of applications on a continuous basis, i.e. until the pool of allocated funds is exhausted.
This week we had the pleasure of hosting Mr. Salih Tosun, PhD academic teacher at the Department of Emergency Medical Services at Balikesir University in Turkey. Mr. Tosun had the opportunity to participate in first aid classes conducted with the students of the Academic Secondary School of Genereal Education, as well as in classes for students of the Department of Emergency Medical Services.
From today, for the next week - our teachers: Beata Wołosiuk and Edyta Borys-Frończuk from the Department of Pedagogy, and Anita Borys-Nagórko from the Foreign Languages Department, are carrying out an Erasmus+ teaching mobility at the partner university Mabalacat City College in Mabalacat, Philippines. A detailed report on their mobility and an outline of activities that were carried out will be published next week!
Last week we hosted prof. Renata Bernatová, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy of the University of Prešov in Slovakia. The aim of the visit was to get acquainted with the structure, activities, educational offer and scientific and research potential of the Department of Pedagogy of our university. Additionally, Ms. Bernatova met with the Vice-Rector for Science, Ph.D. Agnieszka Siedlecka, prof. AB, to discuss opportunities for joint international and research collaboration.
We are happy to announce that as of today we have the opportunity to host Dr. Chetan Shingadiya - academic teacher and head of the Computer Engineering Department of our partner university - Rijakot University in India. Dr. Shingadiya specializes in the area of databases, artificial intelligence and machine learning. We hope that Mr. Shingadiya will receive a warm and cordial welcome from our entire academic community during his stay.
